Ugly Ceiling Becomes Beautiful with Decorative Ceiling Tiles Contest!
Written by Milan Jara on 1st Nov 2012
We have a lot of fun with our annual Decorative Ceiling Tiles Ugly Contest. When we say we can take your ceiling from ugly to beautiful in a flash, we really mean it—our decorative ceiling tiles make the difference!
And the Winner Is…
A few months ago, we awarded the title of “Ugliest Ceiling” to contestant Diana Aliprandi of Middletown, New Jersey. Diana is the owner of Elegant Portrait, Inc. She is also a member of both Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI), and her specialty is children’s portraits.
The “before” pictures Diana sent us were truly astonishing—and not in a good way! The ceiling was covered in plastic and the pink insulation was showing through.
The fluorescent tubes hanging in the middle of the room made it look like an old factory, and the fabric made the room look dark and dingy. What a winner for the Decorative Ceiling Tiles Ugly Contest! (Want to see more “before” pictures?)
Using the $200 DecorativeCeilingTiles.net store credit prize, Diana was able to completely refinish the studio’s ceiling with our VC02 White Matte Faux Tin Ceiling Tiles, and the difference is absolutely amazing.
The VC02 is one of our most elegant, beautiful, and popular tiles. The white matte finish not only adds beauty but also contributes to the all-important lighting that is so crucial to taking good portraits, whether they be photographs of children, graduates, or brides and grooms. The room was transformed into a beautiful, high-class photography studio with a ceiling that would look stunning in the formal parlor of any society matron’s home.
The addition of recessed lighting and some nice wooden shelving to hold photography props were the icing on a beautiful wedding cake.
If enough customers express interest, we’re looking forward to holding another contest sometime in the future, perhaps through our Facebook page. If you think your ceiling is uglier than Diana’s and you’re interested in entering a new contest, let us know—start sending us those hideous “before” pictures!
