Decorative Ceiling Tiles Starred in the American Country Awards—Literally!
Written by Milan Jara on 13th Dec 2012
If you watched the third annual American Country Awards on Fox Television on Monday, December 10, you might have been asking yourself, “What is that giant star hovering over the stage made of?” Well, our secret’s out and now we can tell you—it was made out of our decorative ceiling tiles!
American Country Awards:
Country Music’s Finest
Broadcast live from the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, the show was hosted by country star Trace Adkins and singing sensation Kristin Chenoweth. Why Chenoweth? She isn’t a country music star. However, she’s very, very funny, which is a great attribute for a host! Chenoweth is best known for having created the role of Galinda in the Broadway musical Wicked. In addition, she is a recurring guest on Glee, the popular TV musical show. And she is like our decorative ceiling tiles in that she is captivating and beautiful!
Our Star Shines Bright
The big award winners of the night may have been Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan, but we like to think that the real star of the show was the huge star dominating the beautiful set. Imagine—our own decorative ceiling tiles on the American Country Awards! The tile that the set decorators used was our stunning 2443 Fond du Lac Custom Tin Ceiling Tile, which features an intricate design of crosses, fleurs de lis, and other floral designs.
The gorgeous shimmering metal finish of the Fond du Lac tiles was enhanced and surrounded by brilliant white and soft amber stage lights. The sparkling tiles shone beautifully under the lights, imparting a soft, rich glow to the hosts and performers as well as the award recipients. It truly was Decorative Ceiling Tiles’ hour to shine!
