I purchased these some decorative ceiling tiles made of Styrofoam from http://www.decorativeceilingtiles.net for this project after seeing videos similar to my own. I covered a pretty nasty popcorn ceiling in a hallway that had numerous coats of paint installing them in about 5 hours and here are the results.

the old ceiling tiles have fake holes and wanted to replace them, until we saw the ceiling tiles. the Virginian styrofoam ceiling tiles have made the room. they were put up in an hour w/liquid nails. very easy to put up and trim to size.
I really love these tiles.

The R 08 Virginian ceiling tiles are the best they have no weight to them,they stickup easily. They are very easy to cut and install. They cover up well over uneven ceilings. They look Great, I will send pictures when I am done.

We are doing a total kitchen remodel and put the faux tin tiles in antique silver up over textured ceiling. Once we got comfortable with the contact cement the job went smoothly but most off it looks absolutely fantastic, we couldn't be happier. Everyone is in awe of it. Thanks so much! The how to videos are great and such a help.

When I opened the box I was a bit sceptical, they were so thin and light. I was covering and old drop ceiling that I installed yrs ago and was not too carefull about punching holes in the sheet rock to run electric. Rough patching of the holes was all I needed. The 16 x 24 room was done in a couple of days and it looks great with the crown molding that I added.
Very easy install. first time and it looks great

this was the easiest project i have ever undertook, it was very easy to put these up. In hind sight I should have put the ceiling up before the crown molding since the crown molding would have really finished off the edges better, Nevertheless, white calking on the edge finished it off at the molding and it looks great. But if I had to do it over again I would suggest the ceiling first then the molding last.

But it was very easy and everyone loves it.
